Ex-Centris
is a film production and screening complex designed
to evolve with the emergence of new digital production
technologies. It is an avant-garde facility dedicated
to nurturing independent creators and producers interested
and involved in experimenting with a new generation
of film production and screening tools. The Ex-Centris
cinemas offer a combination of the best available projection
and sound capabilities. Digital production and post-production
studios built right into the complex allow unprecedented
integration between production and theatrical exhibition.
Designed and built by Daniel Langlois, Ex-Centris is
both a cinematographic research laboratory and a state-of-the-art
film screening facility. |

Imperial Cinema was built in 1913 and is now a recognized
historical landmark. It underwent major renovations
in 2003, and is now an exceptional screening space.
With 780 seats, the Imperial allows the FNC to use a
large theatre, making it possible for more festival-goers
to see some of the more popular titles in the Festival
lineup. |
