Synopsis :

Monty Python is back! John Cleese, Michael Palin, Terry Jones and Terry Gilliam have reunited to pay cinematic homage to Graham Chapman, the fifth troupe member who died in 1989. Doctor, actor with and without the Pythons, pipe-smoker, mountain climber and 6-foot-2-inch dandy, Chapman was also a writer who in 1980 sat down and put together the completely outrageous A Liar’s Autobiography. Written by five different authors, the book spreads liberal amounts of fiction over episodes from his real life. By adapting this work to the screen, the three directors (Ben Timlett, Bill Jones and Jeff Simpson) have not only brought about an unexpected renaissance of the famous troupe, they have invented a completely new visual universe. Mixing 3D sequences by 14 animation companies and the voices of all five Pythons, the film is a patchwork of styles in a crazy nod to The Life of Graham. Above all a collective work, the film echoes the original spirit of Monty Python, whose surreal ravings and wacky British humour have not aged a bit. And now for something completely different...
