Car Radio is Music is a short performance that involves live radio and a car. A sound installation is performed on the car itself by the composer Ben Shemie. Using the full range of the car radio, the performance can take place wherever the car is parked. Through the car stereo, feedback loops emanating from contact microphones on the car produce shifting tones as the doors open and close, the windows roll up and down and the car is pushed back and forth. deep basses, ambient drones and melodies will fill the street.
