In this documentary, the creation of a soup kitchen by a star chef raises the question of the ethics of our relationship to food. On one end of the spectrum: soup kitchens. On the other: upscale restaurants. Until 2015, when Milan-based chef Massimo Bottura invited 60 colleagues to come together to cook meals for the city’s poor, refugees and homeless, using leftover food from Expo.
