EN PRÉSENCE DE L’ACTRICE MEGUMI KAGURAZAKA
Le film Guilty of Romance (Koi no Tsumi, Japon, 2011) sera présenté en première nord-américaine, pour l’ouverture de la section Temps ø, jeudi 13 octobre au Cinéma Impérial (Centre Sandra & Leo Kolber, Salle Lucie & André Chagnon), en présence de l’actrice Megumi Kagurazaka.
Izumi est marié à un écrivain renommé. Docile, tranquille, elle est l’image parfaite des normes amoureuses. Mais, sa petite vie bourgeoise étouffante va bientôt basculer. Un jour, n’écoutant que ses désirs, elle se laisse aller à la tentation. Elle découvre le sexe, tendance cru et interdit. Elle se découvre aussi une rage féroce de vouloir vivre. Au même moment, un cadavre étrangement mutilé est retrouvé dans un love hotel de la ville. Et si amour et haine ne faisaient dorénavant plus qu’un? Ce film scandale du Cannes 2011 est le dernier volet (après les excellents Love Exposure et Cold Fish) d’une trilogie perverse sur la haine signée du maître de la révolte qu’est Sion Sono (Suicide Club). Il est un vortex de sexualité agressive qui se regarde comme une sorte de Belle de jour (Bunuel) revu par le «giallo» façon néo-féminisme venimeux. Guilty of Romance est aussi un film lyrique et décalé, poétique et trash, à l’esprit férocement punk. Un conte de la cruauté ordinaire qui ne ressemble à rien d’autre. Parions qu’il sera le film japonais dont tous se souviendront, cette année. On en oublierait presque Confessions l’année dernière… Oui, c’est possible! Julien Fonfrède
