touscoprod gets a makeover and launches its all new website : submissions are now open!
More than ever before, touscoprod uses crowdfunding to help develop, produce and distribute independent films. Besides helping to fund and promote these projects, our website also serves as a broadcasting platform.
Filmmakers can now upload their work for free directly onto touscoprod, taking advantage of the available tools to build their online fan base.
touscoprod and the Festival du nouveau cinéma launch a joint call for proposals on the FNC website. All projects seeking crowdfunding are welcome. Three selected submissions will enjoy added visibility on the site and special help and advice in terms of community management.

Launch of the Canadian version of touscoprod.ca.
The touscoprod website supports the development, production and distribution of independent films. By allowing Web users to sponsor the project of their choice, touscoprod raises additional funds and forms a co-prod community to support the film when it is released.
This initiative follows on the roundtable on participative co-production held at last year’s FNC Lab, a discussion involving a number of experts in the field. In the ensuing months, we talked to touscoprod.com co-founder Barbara Tonelli about creating an equivalent service in Canada. This initiative confirms the Festival du Nouveau Cinéma’s commitment to supporting the film and television industry by proposing new ways to produce and promote independent Canadian features. The Canadian touscoprod portal will be launched at the 39th FNC.
Since 2010, and in association with touscoprod, the FNC will select three films in development as participative co-production projects. Users can contribute to the production budget(s) of their choice via the Festival website or via touscoprod.ca, where they will find other available projects. Since last year, the programming team has chosen the new works by directors Xavier Dolan and Marc Fafard.
